Eagles
I fell in love with Arch's eagles over 15 years ago and I own one that I wouldn't take anything for. Not too many years before I got that eagle from Arch, I'd spent an afternoon sitting on a mountain top not far from Arch's home -- less than a half-hour's drive -- watching a golden eagle soar on the thermals. At one point we were nearly face to face, probably less than 20 feet apart, as he hovered in a thermal updraft. The closest I ever got to that feeling was flying a Sailplane a few years earlier. Everytime I wear Arch's eagle, it reminds me of that golden eagle face to face with me that summer afternoon and of flying in a sailplane trying to capture a sense of what that eagle must have felt as it soared so effortlessly through the air. A few years after getting an eagle from Arch, my wife and I were walking through the pasture near our home when a huge Great Bald Eagle soared right over our heads, perhaps twenty feet or so above us. Is it any wonder I'm planning on keeping this eagle? -- JD
